ജി20 ഉച്ചകോടി: മയക്കുമരുന്ന്-ഭീകര ബന്ധം തകർക്കാൻ പ്രത്യേക പദ്ധതി അടക്കം നിർദേശിച്ച് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി
മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തെ ഉച്ചകോടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച വൈകുന്നേരമായിരുന്നു മോദി ജോഹന്നാസ്ബർഗിൽ എത്തിയത്
ഡൽഹി: ഇന്ത്യയുടെ നാഗരിക മൂല്യങ്ങൾ തുല്യമായ ആഗോള പുരോഗതിക്ക് വഴികാട്ടിയാകുമെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി. ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയിലെ ജോഹന്നാസ്ബർഗിൽ നടന്ന ജി-20 ഉച്ചകോടിയുടെ ആദ്യ സെഷനിൽ സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. ആഫ്രിക്ക ആദ്യമായി ഉച്ചകോടിക്ക് ആതിഥേയത്വം വഹിക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ, ലോകം വികസന മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങൾ പുനഃപരിശോധിക്കാനും സമഗ്രവും സുസ്ഥിരവുമായ വളർച്ച പിന്തുടരാനും ശരിയായ സമയമാണിതെന്നും മോദി പറഞ്ഞു.
മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തെ ഉച്ചകോടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച വൈകുന്നേരമായിരുന്നു മോദി ജോഹന്നാസ്ബർഗിൽ എത്തിയത്. പരമ്പരാഗത വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രത്തിലും ആരോഗ്യരംഗത്തുമുള്ള ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സമ്പന്നമായ പൈതൃകം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി, ജി20ക്കു കീഴിൽ ഒരു ആഗോള വിജ്ഞാന ശേഖരം രൂപീകരിക്കാൻ നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചു. അറിവുകൾ സംരക്ഷിക്കാനും ആഗോള ആരോഗ്യത്തിന് സംഭാവന നൽകാനും ഇത്തരം ഡാറ്റാബേസ് സഹായിക്കുമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
ആഫ്രിക്കയ്ക്കുള്ള ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പിന്തുണ ആവർത്തിച്ച് ഉറപ്പിച്ച പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി, ആഗോള അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്ക് ഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിന്റെ പുരോഗതി അനിവാര്യമാണെന്നും വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ജി20–ആഫ്രിക്ക സ്കിൽസ് മൾട്ടിപ്ലയർ ഇനിഷ്യേറ്റീവ് എന്ന പേരിൽ ആഫ്രിക്കൻ യുവാക്കളെ ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടുള്ള ഒരു നൈപുണ്യ പദ്ധതിയും മോദി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.
ഫെന്റനൈൽ പോലുള്ള മാരകമായ മയക്കുമരുന്നുകളുടെ വർദ്ധിച്ചുവരുന്ന ഭീഷണിയെക്കുറിച്ചും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി സംസാരിച്ചു. മയക്കുമരുന്നുകൾ ആഗോളതലത്തിൽ വ്യാപിക്കുന്നതിൽ ആശങ്ക പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ച പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി, മയക്കുമരുന്ന്-ഭീകര ബന്ധത്തെ നേരിടുന്നതിനു വേണ്ടി ജി20 സംരംഭത്തിനും ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തു. മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ശൃംഖലകൾ തകർക്കുന്നതിനും നിയമവിരുദ്ധമായ പണമൊഴുക്ക് തടയുന്നതിനും ഭീകര സംഘടനകൾക്കുള്ള ധനസഹായത്തിന്റെ സ്രോതസ്സുകളെ ദുർബലപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനും ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നതാണ് പദ്ധതി.
ഉച്ചകോടിക്കിടെ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയൻ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ആന്തണി അൽബനീസുമായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മോദി ഇന്ന് കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. 2020-ൽ തന്ത്രപ്രധാന പങ്കാളിത്തത്തിലേക്കു ഉയർത്തിയതിന് ശേഷം, കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷങ്ങളിൽ ഇന്ത്യയും ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയും തമ്മിലുള്ള സഹകരണം കൂടുതൽ ആഴത്തിലാക്കുകയും വൈവിധ്യവൽക്കരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതിൽ ഇരുനേതാക്കളും സംതൃപ്തി പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു. അടുത്തിടെ നടന്ന ഭീകരാക്രമണത്തിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി അൽബനീസ് ഇന്ത്യക്ക് ഐക്യദാർഢ്യം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഭീകരതയ്ക്കെതിരായ ആഗോള പോരാട്ടം ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്താനുള്ള പ്രതിജ്ഞാബദ്ധതയും നേതാക്കൾ ആവർത്തിച്ചു.

ജോഹന്നാസ്ബർഗ്: ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ- കാനഡ- ഇന്ത്യ കൂട്ടായ്മ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി. മൂന്നു രാജ്യങ്ങളും ചേർന്നുള്ള സാങ്കേതിക സഹകരണ കൂട്ടായ്മയാണ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. ജി20 ഉച്ചകോടിക്കിടെ മൂന്നു നേതാക്കളും ചർച്ച നടത്തി. ഇന്ത്യ- കാനഡ ബന്ധം മെച്ചപ്പെടുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ കൂടിയാണ് പുതിയ പ്രഖ്യാപനം. മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ശൃംഘലയ്ക്കെതിരെ ജി20 ഒറ്റെക്കെട്ടായി നീങ്ങണമെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. മയക്കു മരുന്ന് ശൃംഘലയും ഭീകരവാദവും ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് കിടക്കുന്നു. ഇവയെ ദുർബലപ്പെടുത്താൻ ജി20 കൂട്ടായ സംവിധാനം രൂപപ്പെടുത്തണം. പ്രകൃതി ദുരന്തങ്ങൾ നേരിടാനുള്ള സംയുക്ത സംവിധാനം വേണമെന്നും മോദി. ഉച്ചകോടിയിലെ പ്രസംഗത്തിലാണ് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മോദിയുടെ നിർദ്ദേശം.
ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയിലെ ജൊഹാന്നസ്ബർഗിലാണ് ജി ട്വന്റി ഉച്ചകോടി നടക്കുന്നത്. ഇന്നലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ സമയം വൈകിട്ട് അഞ്ചരയ്ക്ക് ജൊഹന്നാസ്ബർഗിൽ എത്തിയ മോദിക്ക് ഇന്ത്യൻ സമൂഹം വൻവരവേൽപ്പ് നൽകിയിരുന്നു. ഓസ്ട്രേലിയൻ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ആന്തണി അൽബനീസുമായി മോദി ഇന്നലെ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തി. അതേസമയം ഓപ്പറേഷൻ സിന്ദൂർ നിറുത്തിയതായി മോദി തന്നെ നേരിട്ട് വിളിച്ചറിയിച്ചു എന്ന യു എസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഡോണൾഡ് ട്രംപിന്റെ അവകാശവാദത്തിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മൗനം വെടിഞ്ഞ് പ്രതികരിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യം കോൺഗ്രസ് ശക്തമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ട്രംപ് പങ്കെടുക്കാത്തതിനാൽ സുരക്ഷിതമെന്ന് കണ്ടാണ് മോദി ജി 20 ഉച്ചകോടിക്കായി ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയിലേക്ക് പോയതെന്ന് കോൺഗ്രസ് നേതാവ് ജയറാം രമേശ് പരിഹസിച്ചു. ഈജിപ്തിൽ നടന്ന പശ്ചിമേഷ്യ സമാധാന ഉച്ചകോടിയിൽ നിന്നും മലേഷ്യയിലെ ആസിയാൻ ഉച്ചകോടിയിൽ നിന്നും നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി മാറി നിന്നിരുന്നതടക്കം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയാണ് പരിഹാസം. ഡോണൾഡ് ട്രംപുമായുള്ള കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച ഒഴിവാക്കാനായിരുന്നു മലേഷ്യയിലും ഈജിപ്തിലും മോദി പോകാതിരുന്നതെന്നും പ്രതിപക്ഷം ആരോപിച്ചു.
Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today met H.E. Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa in Johannesburg on the sidelines of the G20 Summit. Prime Minister thanked President Ramaphosa for the warm hospitality and successful conduct of the Summit. He appreciated South African G20 efforts to take forward and build on decisions arrived during the New Delhi G20 Summit.
Recalling the historical ties that underpin India - South Africa ties, both leaders reviewed bilateral ties and expressed satisfaction at the progress achieved in various fields of cooperation, including trade and investment, food security, skill development, mining, youth exchange and people-to- people ties. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of AI, Digital Public Infrastructure and critical minerals. The leaders welcomed the growing presence of Indian firms in South Africa and agreed to facilitate mutual investments, especially in infrastructure, technology, innovation, mining and start-up sectors. Prime Minister thanked President Ramaphosa for South African cheetah relocation to India and invited him to join the International Big Cat Alliance led by India.
The leaders agreed to work jointly to amplify the voice of the Global South. In this context, Prime Minister appreciated the initiative take by South Africa to hold IBSA leaders meeting. President Ramaphosa assured South Africa’s full support to India’s upcoming Chairship of BRICS in 2026.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met today with the Prime Minister of Canada, H.E. Mr. Mark Carney on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg to review progress in the India–Canada partnership.
The leaders welcomed the adoption of Australia-Canada-India Technology and Innovation (ACITI) Partnership which would give a boost to trilateral cooperation in the fields of critical technologies, nuclear energy, diversification of supply chains and AI. They appreciated the renewed momentum in ties since their June 2025 meeting in Kananaskis on the margins of the G7 Summit, and the launch of the New Roadmap for bilateral engagement by the Foreign Ministers in October 2025. The two Prime Ministers discussed cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, defence, education, space, science and technology, and energy. Prime Minister Carney expressed support for the AI Summit to be hosted by India in February 2026.
The leaders agreed to begin negotiations on a high-ambition Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), aimed at doubling bilateral trade to USD 50 billion by 2030. Both sides reaffirmed their longstanding civil nuclear cooperation and noted the ongoing discussions on expanding collaboration, including through long-term uranium supply arrangements.
The leaders emphasized the importance of regular high-level exchanges. Prime Minister extended an invitation to Prime Minister Carney to visit India.
Prime Minister addressed today the third session of the G20 Summit on "A Fair and a Just Future for All - Critical Minerals; Decent Work; Artificial Intelligence.” Prime Minister called for a fundamental change in the way critical technologies are promoted. He noted that such technology applications must be ‘human-centric' rather than 'finance-centric', 'global' rather than 'national', and based on 'open source' rather than 'exclusive models'. He elaborated that this vision has been integrated into India's technology ecosystem and the same has resulted into significant benefits, be it in space applications, AI or digital payments where it is a world leader.
Speaking on Artificial Intelligence, Prime Minister outlined India's approach based on equitable access, population-level skilling, and responsible deployment. He noted that under India-AI Mission, accessible high-performance computing capacity is being built with the objective of ensuring that AI benefits reach everyone in the country. Underlining that AI must translate into global good, Prime Minister called for a global compact based on the principles of transparency, human oversight, safety-by-design and prevention of misuse. He emphasized that while AI should expand human capabilities, the ultimate decision should be made by humans themselves. Prime Minister stated that India will be hosting the AI Impact Summit in February 2026 with the theme 'Sarvajanam Hitaya, Sarvajanam Sukhaya' [Welfare for all, Happiness for all], and invited all G20 countries to join this effort.
Prime Minister emphasized that in the age of AI, there is a need to rapidly shift our approach from 'Jobs of Today' to 'Capabilities of Tomorrow'. Recalling progress made on talent mobility at the New Delhi G20 Summit, he proposed that the group should develop a Global Framework for Talent Mobility in the coming years.
